Naga Chaitanya-Tamanna movie launched

A new untitled film, starring Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah in the lead roles, under the direction of Sukumar with Bunny Vasu as producer on Geetha Arts banner was launched at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad. Allu Arvind is the presenter.

Ace producer Dr D Ramanaidu rendered the puja ceremony, while Nagababu switched on the camera and Nagarjuna clapped the muhurat shot. The formal first shot direction was done by SS Rajamouli. Akkineni Nageswara Rao handed over the script to the director.

Allu Arvind said: “I heard the subject the present film two and half years ago. Whatever subject that Sukumar would make ready, he would first narrate it to me. So, I heard it even before Arya. I thought that the film required huge budgeting. So, after the release of Arya 2, the subject was further shaped up. I like Sukumar so much, because he would keep five scenes alternatively. We thought that the film would be nice if we could rope in Naga Chaitanya. Actually, we thought of Tamannaah as heroine for Maghadeera, but it didn’t materialize for her. Coming to our banner, it is not a new experience for Geetha Arts to do films with other heroes. Naga Chaitanya is a very talented hero.”

Naga Chaitanya said: “I am happy to be doing a film with Geetha Arts. There are highly experienced technicians. I don’t need to say much about Sukumar, who is known for his dedication to the profession. I thought that my third film should be a full-fledged action entertainer. But, after listening to the story, I changed my preference. Anyways, this film will also have its action-part.”

Tamannaah said: “After a gap of one year, I am doing this straight film in Telugu. Mine is a performance-oriented role.” Sukumar said: “It has become my duty to narrate all of my scripts first to Allu Arvind. This subject is not a tailor-made one for any hero. But, I did Arya-2 keeping in mind Allu Arjun. The performance of Naga Chaitanya in Ye Maya Chesave was superb, and this prompted us to rope him in. It is a romantic action film. Devi Sri Prasad’s music would be a great highlight.”

Bunny Vasu said: “Though we thought of doing it with Bunny (Allu Arjun), we changed the option with everybody unanimously saying that it would be apt for Naga Chaitanya.”

Story is by Chandra Sekhar T Ramesh; Cinematography is by Prasad; screenplay by Hari Prasad. Direction is by Sukumar. Music by Devi Sri Prasad.
